The quintessential bay rum aftershave splash, nothing wraps up a wet shave like a blend of cloves and spice. Originating from the island of St. Thomas in the early 1800’s, it was a mix of West Indian Bay Tree distillate and “good rum”, with various mixes of spice and citrus for good measure.
Layrite’s take on the timeless classic is heavy on the bay laurel and clove. Alcohol based to tone the skin and leave you feeling super soft. Not great for those with dry skin.
- Alcohol based aftershave disinfects the skin, closes the pores and helps to prevent both acne and razor-bumps.
- In dry climates, follow with an aftershave balm or unscented moisturizer
- Great for oily skin, not ideal for dry or excessively sensitive skin.
About Layrite - “Made for barbers, by barbers” Layrite came to be in 1999 when a gent by the name of Donnie Hawley found himself wanting for a hair product that held like a traditional pomade, but washed out without all the fuss. Such a thing was not to be found, so Donnie set out to create such a thing, and Layrite was born. Water based hair products that hold like their oil based compatriots, from light and natural to firm and rugged, all fragranced with Layrite’s signature vanilla scent.

Shipping, Delivery, and Returns: What You Need To Know
For Internet orders our goal is to respond in 24 hours and ship the purchase as soon as possible.
Shipments crossing international borders including to the USA can be detained by the country’s customs agency and duties and taxes may be charged. These delays and charges are beyond our control.
International shipments are sent with a commercial invoice for this reason. Customs charges can differ depending on destination and value. Kent of Inglewood, is not authorized or responsible for these charges.
Customs and Duties
Customs agency in each country has rights to detain and inspect packages entering the country. When the package is sent to a Customs Agent, significant delay can occur. The delay is beyond our control and Kent of Inglewood, is not authorized to investigate the status of the package. Duties and taxes may be charged according to the value of the products.

Loss, Breakage or Discrepancies in Shipments
If there are any problems with your order, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt. Kent of Inglewood will not be responsible for any claims made after 48 hours. For breakage resulting from carrier transit, please keep the entirety of original item(s) as well as all packaging and packing materials for future inspection by carrier. If the package is not delivered within expected delivery date, please contact us immediately. We will start the investigation with carrier. In case of loss of item(s), only insured packages will be covered for replacement.

"This is the 10th or so Bay Rum scented aftershave that I have tried from 10 different brands and all have been disappointing. About 15 years ago I purchased a Bay Rum scented aftershave during a tour in the Balkans and to this day I can’t remember the brand that I purchased while in Sarajevo, but It was the best ever. So, now, I give up trying to find something that closely resembles what It. This one is ok if you like the overpowering smell of cloves."

"This is pretty much one of the oldest and most famous styles of aftershave. Layrite’s version has a ton of bay and clove oil so be sure to shake the bottle or it will burn a bit, but it soothes razor burn and smells awesome."
