The Helle Viking is an all-around utility knife based on the traditional blades used by Vikings in their day-to-day lives. The thick blade is sturdy for cutting wood and the carbon steel will retain its edge better when used for tough jobs. The handle of this knife is thick enough to remain secure in any hand.

About Helle - Helle is a company that runs like a mighty river, working with obstacles and history rather than against them. Over almost a century, they have transformed and morphed, and their success can be attributed to their undying principles of honesty, hard work and quality. In the small factory in Holmedal, Helle handle each step of production for their knives and sheaths from raw material to finished product. Each blade is finished individually, and by human hands.

A Sharp and Traditional Design

"This knife is truly awesome! Although the historic design lacks some modern features like a finger guard or contoured handle, the design is functional and immensely unique! Think, you've got a replica of a real Viking knife! The handle is still very comfortable, the blade is sharp, and the lack of a finger guard isn't a problem. It's not a knife for stabbing, but for deliberate work. Plus, the laminated steel gives the knife solid performance and looks stunning! All around, if you love historical knives, or just want a really unique knife for basic camp tasks (or even just for show!) this knife will be the one for you"

Q&A

Can this be used for hunting? How about carving wood? It looks beautiful.
This one can be used for hunting and wood carving but you'll have to be careful because there's no finger guard and the handle is very straight and skinny. If it gets slippery/wet your hand could potentially slide from the handle to the blade.
