Toyama Pruning Shears 200mm T14 - $99
This series of pruning shears are made by a company called Toyama Hamono in Sanjo, Niigata. They have been specialized in making pruning shears since the early 1860s. When Masashi-san was visiting us in the Summer of 2017, he had a few pruning shears from this company and gifted them to gardeners at Japanese garden and gardeners at the Japanese embassy. The handles for these pruning shears are drop forged and the edge is sharpened to beautiful convex.

Mujun is a project done by the Coelacanth Shokudo company in Miki, Hyogo. They are a group of young designers in Japan trying to bring Japanese traditional crafts to a contemporary audience. Their knife maker is based out of the town of Miki, Hyogo, which is famous for blacksmithing. We occasionally get knives from this area for Garage Sales, and our regular Higo no Kami Sadakoma knives are made in MIki by Nagao Koma Seisakusho.
This Mt. Fuji knife has a very unique for design and functionality. White #2 carbon steel clad with soft iron allows for better edge retention than our regular higos. The handle is brass and even has a bottle opener!
Grohmann proudly uses the finest materials for their blade and handle construction, materials that they believe strike a balance between durability and functionality. Grohmann makes many of their Canadian knife blades from 4110 stainless steel, known for good edge retention and durability.

WHY WE LOVE THIS BRUSH
There are a couple of different configurations of badger hair brushers – one is a bulb configuration – which means scrub – lots of exfoliating power in a soft, soft brush. We have chosen the bulb type for our signature brush. It’s an excellent example of a silvertip badger brush with enough scrub to give superior exfoliating power, at the same time soft and luxurious – the perfect combination.
