The "Good" kit will check all the boxes for getting you started on your shaving adventure! Fantastic for newbies, or folks not looking to break the bank on their shaving gear. I personally use this kit as my travelling set up as it's easily replaced and everything about it is durable, while still giving me a close shave on the go.

 

This kit also has the option to choose a lighter or darker finish for both the brush stand or safety razor. While it might be nicer to have a combo brush and razor stand that holds both, this kit is no slouch for the price point and get's the job done!

 

Kent of Inglewood's "Better" Shaving Kit

Although this kit is technically our middle of the road option, the "Better" kit has some of our most premium products for shaving included in it, meaning it will last you years and years. You could easily choose this kit and happily call it a day, so it's the combination I recommend the most when I'm in the store.

 

With the Better Shaving Kit we introduce the Horse Hair Shaving Brush, adding a very noticeable leap in performance compared to the previous synthetic brush, while not being a huge leap in price making it a fantastic choice for most folks.

Using a shaving brush with animal hair provides way more exfoliation for the skin and since the brush hairs themselves are hollow, they hold moisture more effectively, making your lather much easier to whip up.

 

 

A Better shaving brush deserves a Better stand (sorry, I had to) that can properly allow the brush to hang dry comfortably with your razor while looking nice on the counter too! The Sidecar Brush & Razor Stand is one of my personal favourites when it comes to stands - it's just cool and laid back! The chrome finish adds class and it's designed to even hold a straight razor, so if you ever choose to upgrade from your safety razor you won't need another stand, which I think is a nice feature.

This is a buy-once-cry-once option for those who value durability, versatility, and enjoy the comfort of knowing they chose the very best of everything above all else.

 

The Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush included in this kit is the last stop on the brush train in terms of quality, and has been the top brush choice for shavers for as long as anyone can remember - it's universally the best. Badger hair is much denser than horse hair which means it will keep it's shape and integrity for easily double the life of a horse hair brush, while also giving better exfoliation and lather, making it the best brush for any shaving job.
