This axe has been custom made for us out of the classic Wetterlings Hudson Bay Axe to celebrate our Canadian roots and the 150th anniversary of proclamation of the Dominion of Canada with John A. Macdonald as our first Prime Minister.
The Hudson Bay was a vital axe design during the forming of this country as its size allowed settlers to carry it easily through the wild, and it's design allowed it to be used for a variety of tasks. This is the axe that built Canada as we know of it today.

The Pommel of the axe is hand painted with white epoxy. The age and experience of the axe can be determined by the wear on the paint. The sheath strap is stamped proudly with the Kent of Inglewood logo, and the handle is engraved just below the head with "1867" and the classic three-stemmed maple leaf. On the reverse, each axe has been individually numbered, from 001 to 150

As with any Wetterlings axe, the head is forged from Swedish Carbon Steel and tempered to the high 50's on the Rockwell scale. The handle is made of American Hickory and each axe is accompanied by a leather sheath.

Only 150 were made and ever will be made.
