This Nata is originally used for cutting tall grass and limbing trees. Also functions as a great hatchet for kindling. The head on this axe is made of a high quality Japanese carbon steel, meaning it sharpens easily, takes a great edge, but can rust if left wet for too long. The cutting edge measures about 165 mm.
As with all wooden-hafted axes, take care to oil the haft of this axe regularly to ensure strength and a tight bond between head and haft.
